Aug 27, 2009 Social Networking Opportunities for Entrepreneurs

WealthNet runs 3 communities on popular social networking sites that may be of interest to you.

The WealthNet Council for Entrepreneurs- This Linkedin group is designed primarily for experienced entrepreneurs who want to bounce ideas off each other, as well as the WealthNet team.  It’s a great place for a little free consulting ;)    We also do our best to ask the occasional provocative question to help you refocus  on a potentially neglected aspect of your business.

Business School and the School of Hard Knocks- This Linkedin group is designed as bridge between academics and the real world.  MBA students and professors have a chance to ask successful entrepreneurs and managers, “Does anyone out there really do this?  If so, what have your results been?”  Conversely, people who are running a business but haven’t had a formal business education can get a feel for how to approach their problems academically.

Sports to Business Metaphors- This Facebook page is designed to help make business theory more tangible, and occasionally outright entertaining.  If you enjoy watching ESPN and Bloomberg, if you try and motivate the people in your business by talking about buzzer shots, fourth and long, etc, then you’ll like this group.

We encourage you to join these groups to build your knowledge, network, and give back by sharing your experiences and insights.
